Marlo underwent her first of two corneal transplants for kerataconus. The surgery itself was not so difficult. The recovery however has been much more difficult than she anticipated. She was not expecting the complications and the long recovery time. Most people don't think too much about their vision. They wake in the morning and open their eyes. They just assume they will see, because, well, they do see when they open their eyes. Marlo hasn't had that luxury. Each day Marlo is grateful she can see. She may not be able to see as well as she did 10 years ago. But she still has her vision and that is something she is grateful for. For without her vision she would not be able to share her inspiring photography to all of you. Marlo is beyond thrilled to be able to share her passion with the world. If even one person is inspired then this is worth it. Marlo is grateful for her vision, yes. But more than that she is grateful for all of you, her readers. Thank you from Marlo.
